money tree

This is a photo dump of a wonderful fallen tree that over the years began an art piece by passing visitors who would leave a coin embedded in its bark until today, we are left with what i dub, the money tree!
This was found on the walk through Lydford Gorge, totally unexpected anda really nice suprise! I love how this is a piece that people collectively contributed to and so, in a way belongs to all of us to enjoy!
I wonder how many people put coins into this tree and made their wishes?
What were those wishes and did any come true?
