The Lost Gardens of Heligan

Sometimes a picture can say a thousand words and when you go to a place like Heligan, that really is pretty much the case! so enjoy the photo dump of a post!

My small hobbit of a mother looking even more "hobbity" than normal...the plants here are just huge! Tempted to break one off and recreate my own Totoro moment!

A rather brave robin!

A well that is lined with slabs of crystals to help purify the spring water...though it looks a little murky at the moment!

Heligan is a wonderfully restored gardens that is well worth a visit! My favourite part was seeing the crystal grotto that would sparkle and shine in the light, and hopefully when the place is restored and cleaned up, it will look amazing!

A note to disabled visitors - tell them at the ticket booth you are disabled and you get in for free!
not advertised but well worth remembering!
