Right now...
- My house is so cold, very cold....but the heating isn't on as we are simply trying to keep costs down as money is tight....brrrrrrr!
- Is slightly ahead of schedule with preps for the halloween party tomorrow night! A nice big dinner party with yummy food, and scrummy desserts but more importantly, wonderful friends! I cant wait to greet them all! Just wished I had a bigger house and table to get even more around it! Feeding 14 people? no problem!....feeding an intimate meal for 2?....nope, can't do it...!
- Can't wait to see my family again! They been abroad in the Falklands (of all the places in the world!) and I missed them so. So much that when I read an e-mail from my muma, i cried. Thats something new to me!...i don't normally do that!
- has finished my little batman prize for a friend! little tiny pbatman looks so good with his little felt cape and scowl upon his jaw! Cant wait to show and tell on a later post!
- Has seen "Skyfall"....wow! What a great film! Daniel Craig is brilliant in it and its a roller-coasterof a film. And the villian is so creepy in it...you have to watch it!
- My BFF is finally home! I can see her and my godson! yay! Think I might get her a birthday cake to suprise her with at the meal! And what more, I now officially got a little mini-me! My lovely little Jo-jo kins got her hair cut similiar to me except its red and already we are exchanging hair-tips...i think she carries the style off a lot better than me!
- is feeling a bit low and just has to remind myself from time to time, "one life- live it." Its too easy to get wrapped up in the negative, problems and other people's lives. i hope to, when things are a little better that I can gain some focus and put my head down a little on small tasks and plans...baby steps first I think!
- Speaking of other people's problems, do you ever sometimes just happen to be in a position where you are offered an insight into someone else's life or problems and think "Oh no, I'm staying well away here, that's a problem/split-up/disaster waiting to happen?" ...and more fustratingly, I didn't ask or wanted to know it in the first place?! trouble with this is, once you learn something you can't unlearn it.... I think the best place of action for me is *points over at some spot on the horizon* i'm going to stay the hell away from this mess and not get drawn into it *starts running away to horizon*
- I don't have the energy or fight in me to defend or every start an argument, and I think in a way, it made things better for me. I'm now more easy to approach and laid back to others. And to me, I feel a lot calmer and more at peace with myself than I did before. Its wasted energy being bitchy, rude or negative about people and life in general and I'm exhausted enough as it is! As soon as my mind even starts thinking of such things, it just automatically shuts down like it won't even go there for its own good. I hope this continues.
- Is getting mad with insomnia! I had only one night...one!...of decent sleep. the other nights have a write off. Today for example I spent nearly two days without a shread of sleep and it's now going into the third day and i'm not even tired...I think my sleep phobia is gotten stupidly out of hand...I lost count how many times I've woken screaming and attacking something...it shakes me up so bad that I stay awake and leave the hubby to the bed so he at least can get some sleep! ...stupid sleep....

blog share
Blogs I have recently been reading and thought I share with you (cos they are awesome!)
The dainty Squid - Follow Kaylah, the thrifting queen with her wonderful coloured hair in her bright, cute and cheery blog! The photos in this blog are wonderful and a delight to look at, as well as Kayla's wonderful quirky fashion sense! She comes across as a lady I would very much love to meet in reality and maybe be friends with (that sounds quite stalkerish doesnt it?!) check out her chipmunk pictures (soooo cute you'll die of cuteness overload!)
Citybirds nest - Cristie runs a great blog that certainly leaves you so inspired to travel and get out and about more! Her passion is bike trips away and reading her blog inspired me to make that jump to get my bike and get out there and see the world!you can follow her ventures into being a tattoo artist and admire her wonder inks of art as well as her crafted pieces!
baby-vegan - (not children friendly due to mature contents) This is a wonderful site to visit for beautiful women, lushious underwear, fabulous food and a brilliant collection of images for all three! Baby Vegan is of course a vegan who is determined to show that by being a vegan you can be sexy too! And believe me this lady is sexy as hell with lovely photography to show for it! She also educates on the background of food production and even though I'm not a vegan, I'm certainly inspired and have more understanding now to be more respectful and curious to where our food comes from. she even gotten me trying out a few vegan dishes, some of which I will be creating, serving and eating this weekend at the halloween party for a vegan friend. This could be the start of a wonderful exploration into vegan foods and recipes!
Style Bubble - perhaps the most famous of all fashion blogs! Follow Susie bubble on her world reknown blog where she travels the world and the many designers to bring us beautiful photos, outfits and collaborations for us to drool over and admire! This lady not only wears the trends but she also sets them so if you wish to be bang on trend, this is the blog to follow!
What other blogs should I read?

insomnia diaries!
Today been the first day in a week roughly where I finally managed to not only sleep well through the night but also to rest and recuperate through the day.
The nights are really long and lonely so I find ways to fill them in any way i can!
monday night saw me baking cookies for the forthcoming halloween party i'm throwing this weekend (yay!)!
These babies turned out really chocolatety, gooey and my hubby returned from work to eat 7 to 9 of these in one sitting!
On tuesday night, I took to decorating a pair of white trainers in glitter! I wanted a pair of glittery sneakers for a long while but at the prices charged, I thought it would be cooler to make my own pair, especially in colours i wanted!
I bought this wonderful indigo/teal blue glitter from a recent craft fair and I'm in love with the colour!
I'm still near finishing and got a lovely pink glitter to stick on in places too...but I'm so loving the project! Glitter just cheers me up, especially after a horrible night of nightmares and tears!
I cant wait to show you the finished result!

steam punkery nutcracker!
A while back I visited The Eden Project in Cornwall and in one of their exhibits, it featured how natural energy is formed and can be harvested for our uses. The whole exhibit is very steam-punk in vision, especially one huge metal contraption in the midst of the hall.
This huge piece of fun machinery is powered by a giant handled cog the public hand turn and it sets a whole lot of parts in motion, parts spin, steam flies, cogs and chains turn, a metal water wheel cranks and a metal ball rises from the bottom up through this maze of parts to the top where it begns its huge journey downwards! Its so fun to watch and when the ball hits its target at the bottom, a loud horn sounds and water tips up to general a wave of energy and cracks a nut!
Another dome contains the many specimens and species on this planet that live together and relies on each other to live. I loved this piece as it reminded me of those specimens boards one sees of butterflies and beetles! this dome slowly turns and lights up...i love the balance of science and technology!
This bio-dome contains an animatronic that you power by cogs underneath this wooden man to swim as balls of energy rise and fall according to the amount used!
And this little dome demonstrates how we taken inspiration from nature to design technology to for example, to fly! Again, you turn the handle to power the cogs underneath to turn the mini helicopter and sycamore seeds to spin!
This gives you an idea how things work, you turn the handle on many of the domes and you power the pieces and cogs to move the items inside the dome. in this case, you move the animals inside to move around and eat.
This one demonstrates how weather can be harnessed to generate energy. The men inside move as the weather changes for the better and worst.
All these domes are linked up to the giant dome in the middle where plants generate energy to provide lighting and power. I loved how steam-punky the domes look comined with the modern clash of technology!
here's another shot of the huge metal powered contraption! It is so hard to explain it but it is so amazing to watch!
And luckily i found a video where you can see this piece in action and hear more about it! what a wacky contraption!
what do you think?

You know you're onto a good thing when you find a shop called Bath Sabbath! I'm on the look-out for some nice bath and men grooming products for my hubby who loves rock, zombies and guitars...and this etsy shop just fits the bill (and with no crazy priced shipping fees. have you seen what some people charge? rip-off I say!)
and with wonderful names and product descriptions like ...
-Cursed be Iron- A blend of smoke and Frankincense with a hint of ocean.
-Moonchild- A relaxing blend of vanilla, Lavender, Cinnamon and Brown sugar.
awwwwesome! (check out their cheeky condom soaps!) I think on the next pay check and seeing how money is, I might be slipping this into a basket for the lucky hubby for crimbo!
http://www.etsy.com/shop/ClickBeetleStudio?ref=seller_info
I'm in looooooove! I love guinea-pigs! and this t-shirt is just awesome! I swear I would be wearing these for weeks and weeks...and wearing it when I take Indy the guinea-pig out for a walk (yeah? I walk my guinea....so?!)
*looks pleadingly at husband* Pleeeeeeease?
http://www.etsy.com/shop/theRemakerie?ref=seller_info
All together now....awwwwwwwwwwww!
Look at it's little face! And it's charming jumper! And what makes it so fantastic is this ickle baby and all the goodies in the remakerie are up-cycled! Yay! Go Remakerie!
http://www.etsy.com/shop/ellisnails?ref=seller_info
I'm not a false nail person but how cute are these? Minions from despicable me!
I couldnt wear these though...I be too scared to lose one! And I'm very clumsy with my hands so knowing my luck, i would gouge my own eye out by accident....
http://www.etsy.com/shop/Eitanya?ref=seller_info
I'm a huge catwoman fan and this hood is just crying out to me!
How geeky chic is this?!
As Jo Roberts says "Purrfect to keep you warm on those late-night jewel heists!"
You dont need to convince me!
nicely designed - two thumbs up! :)
http://www.etsy.com/shop/ClaireyLouCreations?ref=seller_info
I'm not afraid of no ghost!
especially one as cute as these little guys!
And with Halloween around the corner, these little guys will be just the thing you need!
(and i just love their sweet little faces!) :3
http://www.etsy.com/shop/TheBuntingStudio?ref=seller_info
We brits can never get enough bunting i say! And the bunting studio brings to us some mega cute and bright monster bunting!
"Now with new and improved sideway monsters!"
Not sure what that is but it sounds pretty good as an advert! incidently the sideway monsters actually look pretty decent! Nice one!
I'm a sucker for bright and cheery things like this
http://www.etsy.com/shop/madamaRobe?ref=seller_info
I've seen quite a few of these wonderful speech bubble pins with various charming messages and this one just takes the cake!
(As well as the "Are you Mr Darcy" and "never judge a book by its movie" pins - so hard to chose!)
According to Roberta - "I create the balloons without moulds just with my hands using a kind of polymer clay that once it's baked in the oven becomes plastic so it's impossible to brake or ruin it.
When the balloon is ready I write on it using a marking ink and then I paint it with a transparent gloss varnish which gives protection and brightness."
without moulds people - you hear that? How hands on is that? brilliant! truely is hand made!
http://www.etsy.com/people/RabbitRecycled?ref=ls_profile
Another up-cycled goodie and this time its a wonderfully made skirt from vintage 1982 sheets featuring E.T!
how gorgeous!
I love the slight faded look to the fabric and the overall charm is hard to resist!
Extra kudos for being up-cycled too! :)
What a great round-up of goodies for this week! These craftsters are epicly awesome as too are their wares!
Nice one!
